This week we worked on the Admin Roles and a couple of scenarios and Today we are going to validate which admin roles are assigned to any given user.
The process is pretty simple and it can be done using Exchange Management Shell, basically you can start simple as Get-ManagementRoleAssignment –RoleAssignee <Mailbox> and we will have an output like the one shown in the figure below.
In the figure above we will see a list of all Roles and the Admin Role name, bear in mind that one Admin Role can have X Roles associated to it. Another point is any mailbox will have by default an user role associated to it and it’s called Default Role Assignment Policy.
Using the same cmdlet above you can add | select RoleAssigneeName and voilà we will have only the Admin/User Roles being listed and it’s easier to manage (keep in mind that we are not cleaning up the results, so we will have multiple entries).
